Founded in 2005 in the city of Jaén, in Dapda we concentrate our activity in the automotive sector, focusing our day-to-day activities in three different areas: digital marketing (what we do), software and application development (how we do it) and automotive (where we do it). We are specialised in these three areas thanks to a superb team of more than 80 people, who are fully committed to providing real solutions and best practices to our clients. Currently, over 1,600 companies trust us in Spain and Portugal, and one of our goals is to continue adding new customers who also trust Dapda Motor Digital from other countries.

 

Our secret lies predominantly in two factors. On the one hand, our human capital, all those people who make up our family, whom we care for and pamper. They are the ones who have made us great, thanks to their commitment and professionalism. On the other hand, our clients, with whom we have a sense of duty, establishing durable and honest relationships with them, trying to help them as much as possible to drive their businesses towards success. We always listen to them, understand them, learn with them, propose strategic actions and plans and accompany them during their day to day with everything we have in our hands.

 

Our methodology is based on providing solutions and services to professionals and companies within the automotive sector such as manufacturers, dealers, agents, official services, repair shops and trading. We usually offer these solutions and services to our clients either separately or integrated, creating a digital ecosystem that allows them to manage their business from one place, to create synergies and make processes simpler.

Our origins. Our future

In 2005, Juan Afán, founder of Dapda, a professional with years of experience in the automotive sector, wanted to solve four problems in sales management that he used to encounter on a daily basis at the dealership where he was working as a manager.

First of all, he helped the commercial advisor to calculate the price of a vehicle in an easy and safe way. Not so long ago, it was fairly common to see the seller with a price list on a paper, using a rule so he did not miss the line, and a calculator, before obtaining the final price on the vehicle. Everything changed thanks to the vision of our founder and the creation of Dapda as a company because, since our first software was born, just 4 clicks were enough to calculate the price of the vehicle in less than a minute, conveying order and professionalism.

Secondly, he worked on the presentation of an estimate to the client including the data of the vehicle, the client and the operation, showing confidence and professionalism. Before that, it was very common to write the price of the car with a pen in the catalog given to the customer, or on the back of the seller’s business card when it was given to the customer.

Third, he ensured that all customers were registered in the system to establish a relationship with them and continue their follow-up, so they could successfully finish the sale. At that time it was not uncommon for the agent to lose a client’s file, simply by putting it in the bottom of a drawer, because their “intuition” told them that this client would end up not buying.

Finally, he was set to find out the dealer’s actual exposure. By registering each customer who received a quote, you could know exactly how many offers had actually been delivered.

As a result, the success of the first Dapda solution, called AutoNET, was unprecedented, becoming the preferred online CRM of the dealers.

In our bid to continue helping dealers, we complemented our first software created to manage customer relationships with the design and development of specialised websites for the automotive sector, where we contributed, back then, to ensure that the image and the information displayed were always updated and everything set according to our own quality standards.

As time went by and, after the success gained within the sector, we started designing and developing other digital solutions that would allow dealer networks to evolve at the same time as society and the market did, and so they were presented with other solutions and services with a warm welcome.

These solutions were: BDCNet, for a perfect and intelligent management of the dealer’s Database; LeadIn, a lead manager that allows to channel and gather all the leads that come to the dealership, as well as a perfect follow-up of these by the sellers; Trikomer, a quality and reputation manager that allows not only to control the quality indices set in customer satisfaction, but also two manage and control the online reputation of the dealer and its professionals, allowing them to gain positioning and visibility. We also specialised in the provision of other services such as Digital Marketing, to help dealerships obtain leads that were interested in their vehicles; Call Center Auto, to help dealers in their daily lead management, and our Training Department, to help the dealership’s commercial teams adapt to the new digital age that is already here.

In 2017, the generational replacement reached Dapda, when its founder Juan Afán passed the torch of executive management to his son Juan Carlos. Since then, the company has grown dramatically both in personnel and number of clients, as well as its market exposure, offering new solutions and services and focusing on the internationalisation of the company.

To gain momentum in this process, in 2020 Martín J. Romero joined the executive management as Co-CEO. We have currently two Executive Directors, looking for continuity and consolidation as leaders of the sector in Spain and trying to open new horizons.
